Accounting and compliance rules change, and clients change with them. We'd rather have people who adapt quickly, learn new tools, and adjust an approach when something isn't working than people who insist on doing things exactly one way.
Empathy for the client's reality
Most of the organizations we support are busy running a business, not thinking about GST returns or payroll deadlines. We look for people who can explain compliance and accounting clearly, without jargon, and who genuinely care whether a client understands what's happening with their finances.
